What formats are supported?
We accept EPUB, FB2 and FB2.ZIP files up to 50 MB. The translated book is returned in the same format you uploaded — upload EPUB, get EPUB back; upload FB2, get FB2 back. EPUB works natively on Apple Books, Kobo and PocketBook, and on Kindle via "Send to Kindle".
How much does it cost?
Translation starts from $3.99 per book. You see the exact price before you pay — no surprises. Pay once per book or subscribe for unlimited monthly translations.
How accurate is the translation?
AI translation generally produces grammatically correct text and does its best to capture context, idioms, and tone. However, it is not comparable to professional human translation. Occasional phrasing may sound unnatural, and subtle literary nuances can be lost. Think of it as a good working translation rather than a polished literary edition.
How long does translation take?
Most books are ready in under 60 minutes. Short stories take minutes; a full novel usually 20–40 minutes. You'll get an email when it's ready. We'll email you a download link as soon as your book is ready. Time depends on book length and current load.
Is my book data private and secure?
Yes. Files are transferred over HTTPS and stored on our servers. We never share your books or use them to train AI models. Your download link expires 30 days after the translation completes.
Can I get my money back? (refund, money-back guarantee)
If there's a quality issue with the translation, email support@aiebooktranslator.com within 7 days of delivery. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. What are CEFR reading levels?
CEFR levels (A1–C2) let us simplify the language to match your reading ability. Perfect for language learners who want to read in their target language without a dictionary.
Is this legal? What about copyright?
Translating a book for personal use is legal in most jurisdictions. We do not distribute translated files publicly. Check your local copyright laws if unsure.
Which languages can I translate into?
We support 80+ target languages including all major European languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Ukrainian, Dutch, Swedish, Greek, Hungarian, Czech), Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Hindi), Middle Eastern languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Persian), and many more. What size of book can I upload?
Files up to 50 MB. That comfortably covers full novels, non-fiction, textbooks and long series — most ebooks are well under that limit.
Will the formatting, chapters and table of contents be preserved?
Yes. We keep the original structure intact — chapters, table of contents, footnotes, images, and basic styling all carry through to the translated book.
Do I need an account?
No account is required for a one-off translation — pay, get the file, done. You only need an account for the subscription plan or to keep a history of your translations.
How does the subscription work?
Subscriptions come in three tiers: Basic (10% off, 10 credits/month), Plus (20% off, 20 credits/month) and Pro (30% off, 30 credits/month — bringing the per-book minimum down to $2.79). Unused credits never expire. Cancel anytime from your settings.
Can I read the translated book on my Kindle / Kobo / Apple Books?
Yes — ebook readers support EPUB and FB2 out of the box. For Kindle, send the file to your device via "Send to Kindle" and Amazon converts it automatically.
How does it work?
Upload your EPUB or FB2 file, pick a target language and (optionally) a CEFR reading level, pay for the translation, and download the translated book when it is ready. The whole flow usually takes under an hour.
What is the difference between literary and simplified translation?
A literary translation keeps the original tone, vocabulary and style — best for native or fluent readers. A CEFR-simplified translation rewrites the text at a lower reading level (A1–C2) so language learners can read without a dictionary.
Can I edit the translated file after downloading?
Yes. EPUB and FB2 are open formats — you can open them in tools like Calibre, Sigil or any text editor and tweak wording, formatting or metadata as you like.
How does pay-per-book pricing work?
You upload your EPUB or FB2, choose target language and CEFR level, and pay per book. Minimum price is $3.99 — final price scales with book length and the AI model chosen.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes — cancel from your account in one click. You'll keep your current plan and unused credits until the end of the billing period.
Do unused credits roll over?
Yes. Subscription credits roll over forever, as long as your subscription stays active. Cancel and they remain spendable on existing translations.
Do subscription discounts stack with credits?
Yes. Your translation discount applies first, then your monthly credits cover the discounted price. So a 30% Pro discount + $30 credits stretches further than the headline numbers suggest.
